What is Ultherapy?

ultherapy_1Ultherapy, or Ulthera is the ONLY FDA approved, non-invasive treatment for skin lifting and firming, while also treating fine lines and wrinkles.

By using ultrasound, Ulthera targets the same tissue as a surgical facelift (the SMAS layer) -all without surgery, anesthesia or downtime!

Nothing targets better than Ulthera.

How Does Ulthera Work?

Using ultrasound, an Ulthera Specialist views where your collagen break down is happening with a “transducer”. Once on target, your skin is delivered a powerful blast of energy causing Thermal Coagulation Points (TCPs) that targets fibroblasts and stimulates an intense boost of collagen production.

Almost immediately your skin will feel, and look tighter, and those results will continue to improve over the course of the next few months.

Ulthera offers surgical precision treatment to target the exact area you need lifting, firming, and conditioning and provides NATURAL looking results.

Ulthera is Jennifer Aniston’s favorite.

She states “I love lasers and..Ultherapy [ultrasound]”. Read more about why 3 million people have opted for treatment with Ulthera.

What is Unique About Ulthera?

Ulthera is the only FDA cleared treatment to lift skin.

Ulthera also uses ultrasound imaging, which allows treatment to be highly targeted for the most effective results.  No other skin tightening device allows this precise, focused treatment.

Ulthera provides a natural looking lift.

Plus Ulthera actually helps to condition the skin, so those lines on the neck (as seen below) or chest, can now be treated safely and effectively.

When Will I See Results from Ulthera?

The visible effects of Ulthera—lifting and toning—take place over a period of 2-3 months post treatment, as tired collagen is replaced with new, more elastic collagen.

Ulthera will keep building-up collagen for up to 6 months following the procedure.

What is an Ulthera Treatment Like?

On your first visit with us, an Ulthera specialist will evaluate your specific needs and answer any questions you have.  They will discuss what treatment plan is best to achieve your desired results.

During the procedure, your nurse will use Ulthera ultrasound imaging to view deep within the skin to determine the best depths to administer treatment.

Your nurse will scan treatment areas to then direct ultrasound waves in three different penetration depths to target fine lines, wrinkles and to target skin lifting.

Ulthera gently heats the tissue to lift and tighten loose skin without disrupting the surface of the skin. At Cienega Med Spa, Ulthera treatments are performed by experienced registered nurses. Your nurse will work to ensure your comfort during the procedure.

Is There Any Downtime From Ulthera?

No, there is no downtime with Ulthera. When your treatment has finished, you are able to return to normal activities immediately after.

There is no recovery time & no scarring.

You are not required to stay out of the sun, and there is no post treatment care you will need to conduct.

A face and neck procedure typically takes 60-90 minutes. A small area like the chin or around the eyes may take 20-30 minutes.

How Do I Get The Best Results From Ulthera?

In brief, do not use ant-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen post treatment as these will may slow down the factors that stimulate new collagen production.

How Does Ulthera Compare to Laser Tightening?

Ulthera is able to treat at at depths not reached with other devices, which ultimately target dramatic skin lifting.

Ulthera is the only treatment that can actually “see” and target the specific area of concern. Thus Ulthera is the only treatment suitable for those with thin, or even thick skin.

Ulthera is 100x more powerful that treatments like Thermage, Pelleve or other similar treatments because it provides more intense energy that ultimately causes more change within the skin. Ulthera is FDA cleared.

When Should I Receive Ulthera?

Ulthera is suitable to receive prior to a special event, however in some rare cases bruising may occur, which can be covered with makeup.

Who Should NOT Receive Ulthera?

  • Those who have:
  • Any area of cystic acne breakouts.
  • Open wounds near treatment area.
  • Anyone looking to treat an area treated with injectable fillers within the last 3 months.
  • Anyone who has had Botox/Dysport in areas of desired treatment within last 2 weeks.
  • Anyone looking to treat over an active implant such as a pacemaker.
  • Men should be clean shaven prior to treatment.

Is This Authentic Ulthera?

How do I know if my practitioner is using an authentic Ulthera system for my Ultherapy treatment?

Often imitated, never replicated; while many claim treatment by Ulthera, they may be using counterfeit devices that fail to live up the Ulthera claim. For example, Ultra Therapy is NOT authentic.

These counterfeit devices have not been subject to the rigorous testing and standards of the Ulthera system, and may result in less effective or unsafe outcomes.
