• What is a lip flip?

  A lip flip uses a small amount of wrinkle relaxer injected into the muscles above the upper lip. This relaxes the muscle just enough to allow the upper lip to gently roll outward, creating a fuller appearance without adding volume.

• What is the difference between a lip flip and lip filler?

  A lip flip relaxes the muscles to reveal more of your natural lip shape, while filler adds physical volume. The lip flip is ideal for patients who want a subtle enhancement or whose upper lip disappears when they smile.

• How long does a lip flip last?

  Results last about 2 to 3 months, slightly shorter than other treatments because a very small amount of product is used.

• Will a lip flip affect drinking through a straw?

  In most cases, no. When performed by an experienced provider using the correct amount, a lip flip should not interfere with normal lip function.

• Can I get a lip flip and lip filler together?

  Yes. Some patients combine a lip flip with a small amount of filler for both shape and volume. Your provider can discuss which approach best matches your goals.
