What is Dysport?

Your facial muscles contract & relax every time you frown, laugh, or smile. Ultimately, this leads to wrinkles & lines on your forehead, around your eyes, & around your mouth. Wrinkles formed by motion are referred to as “dynamic wrinkles,” & can easily be treated with Dysport.

Dysport is a muscle relaxer that is injected into various areas of the face to soften the appearance of wrinkles & lines.

  • What Are The Post-Care Instructions After Treatment?

Avoid running, yoga, workouts, alcohol consumption on the day of your treatment to ensure optimal results. Additionally, wait 4 hours after treatment before reclining or resting flat. No facials, or massages (where you might lie face down) for 2 weeks post treatment.

  • When Will I See Results of My Dysport Treatment?

Results for Dysport take up to 14 days to develop.

  • Is There Any Downtime Post Dysport Treatment?

No, there is no downtime post Dysport treatments, however, DO NOT touch or manipulate the treated areas post treatment. No facials or massages for two weeks post treatment.

  • I've Seen So Many OverDone & Unnatural Faces, Did Dysport Do That?

When misused or abused, unsavory results can happen. Our goal at Cienega Medical is to provide natural looking results. We want you to look like you, but younger.

  • Will I Look Frozen from Dysport?

Unless you want a face devoid of any visible emotion or expression, no Dysport will not make you look "frozen".

Our goal with Dysport (or any other skin treatment) at Cienega Medical is that you will appear well-rested & relaxed; as if you slept and were on vacation for a month.

  • How Often Do I Need Dysport Treatments?

  • How long does Dysport last?

  • How long do you have to stay upright after Dysport?

It's generally recommended to avoid lying down for at least four hours after Dysport injections to prevent the spread of the medication to unintended areas. This helps ensure optimal results and minimizes the risk of complications.

  • Is Dysport effective for 11 lines?

Yes, Dysport is effective for reducing the appearance of "11 lines" or glabellar lines, which are the vertical frown lines that form between the eyebrows. Dysport works by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for these lines, resulting in smoother skin.

  • Can Dysport lift your eyebrows?

Dysport can help lift the eyebrows by relaxing the muscles that pull them downward, resulting in a subtle lifting effect. This can create a more refreshed and youthful appearance around the eyes and forehead.

  • How many units of Dysport equal a unit of Botox?

The conversion ratio between Dysport and Botox units is about 2.5 units of Dysport for every 1 unit of Botox. However, the exact conversion may vary based on factors such as the individual's anatomy and treatment goals. It's essential to consult with a qualified injector to determine the appropriate dosage for your needs.

  • How Does Dysport Compare to Botox?

Dysport and Botox are both FDA approved botulinum toxin treatments that soften expression lines by relaxing the muscle beneath them. Dysport spreads a little more easily once injected, which can make it a natural fit for larger areas like the forehead, and many patients notice it settling in a day or two sooner. Both are delivered by the same licensed medical team here, and your injector will help you choose the right one for your face at your visit.

  • How does Dysport pricing work?

Dysport is priced per unit. Its units are smaller than Botox units, so a treatment uses more of them. Your provider confirms how many you need at your visit.
