NovoTHOR Red Light Therapy

"I booked 3 sessions of Infared Light Therapy. I have been reading about the benefits of red light therapy and I knew I needed the best -- not an LED add on in a tanning booth or just a panel of lights. Cienega has the NovoTHOR, a full body clamshell ibed. The light is BRIGHT but not hot (you're provided with goggles), there's no UVB so no skin damager. The aesthetician needs to turn the machine on and off for you so it's a little awkward. You get inside, take off your robe, they close the top and turn it on, and then check on you every five minutes to make sure you're not getting claustorphobic or too hot. I did three sessions in four days. Results? Well, maybe it's because I'm on vacation but my sleep and mood are much improved, and I have no body aches or muscle soreness anywhere in my body. I don't see any changes in my skin, but maybe it's too soon to tell, or more sessions would be needed.The spa itself is in a nice spot in Santa Monica with free parking, and the service is friendly and attentive. They have a great selection of treatments, and I've to come back to try some others like the IV Therapy or Cryotherapy. I'm a little unnerved that the IV treatment pods are in a windowed room passerbys can see, but you have to admit, it does catch the eye and make the spa look interesting."
