It is classified as a research peptide and is the subject of academic and preclinical scientific literature. DSIP is not an approved drug. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not approved DSIP for any medical use, and it has not been evaluated by the FDA for safety or effectiveness. It is not available as a prescription medication or as an over-the-counter product in the United States.
