• What is GHK-Cu, and what is it studied for?

  GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring peptide-copper complex found in human plasma and other body fluids. It has been studied for collagen and skin and appears in topical skincare formulations. This page covers the prescription take-home bottle, separate from the in-clinic microneedling service. At your free consultation, a nurse practitioner can discuss the bottle formulation and whether it fits your skin-quality concerns.

• Is GHK-Cu FDA-approved?

  No. GHK-Cu is not an FDA-approved drug. Its use as a cosmetic skincare ingredient does not establish FDA approval for a prescription bottle. Your nurse practitioner can explain that distinction at your free consultation.

• What are the risks of GHK-Cu, and who should avoid it?

  GHK-Cu is not right for everyone. Your nurse practitioner reviews your health history, current medications and existing conditions before prescribing, and will tell you if it is not a fit. Bring your current medication list to your free consultation.

• What does it cost, and what is included?

  Bottle prices are listed on this page. Every order includes one medication review fee, which covers the review and managing your prescriptions, and is charged once even when prescriptions go out as separate orders the same day. The consultation itself is free.

• How do I start?

  Pick a time for a free telehealth visit with a nurse practitioner, by phone or video. Before your visit, you fill out a short health form. They go through your health history, your current medications and what you are trying to achieve, then tell you whether this is a sensible fit. Not everyone is, and if you are, they write the prescription and you pay for your bottles plus one medication review fee.

• Where does my prescription come from?

  Your prescription is filled by a licensed U.S. 503A compounding pharmacy.

• How long does a bottle last, and how do refills work?

  That depends on what your provider prescribes, so it is not something we can put a number on here. Your nurse practitioner tells you at your review roughly how long a bottle should last for you and when it would make sense to order again. You can order as many bottles as your nurse prescribes while you’re on the call, and when you need more, book another call online or call us. Each call where you order adds one $49 medication review. Nothing renews on its own. If you’d like bottles sent on a regular schedule, ask your nurse: it’s worked out case by case, since everyone’s prescription is different.

• Can I collect it or have it shipped?

  Both. Collect at West Hollywood, Santa Monica or Calabasas, where we pack it for you and show you how to use it, all covered by the medication review fee. Or we ship it to your home anywhere in California, at no extra charge.
